A wonderful shawl with all things Melly loves: cables and stockinette and pink ;-)

Another testknit for Lucy Hague ... I really adore her patterns!

I used Regia Harmony Color for the body of the shawl and Regia Uni/ Solid for the cabled egde.

I wanted to use a different colour for the border at first, but it was thinner than the Regia, so I didn’t use it.
Customization: Every time the “pinkish” shades of the yarn appeared I alternated the balls of yarn A and B as said in pattern (but only then).

Wonderful pattern, new kind of heel without having to pick up stitches from heelflap, I love it!

Ein wunderschönes Tuch mit einem neuen Ansatz für das altbekannte Ol' Shale Muster 

(Pfauen- oder Wellenmuster).

Leicht zu stricken, leicht abzuwandeln und mit einem tollen Ergebnis. :-D

 Und mit der Schoppel Admiral mit Bambus und Seide absolut kompatibel ... ach was sag ich da?

SuperSocken, genialer Ansatz für die Ferse (nein, das ist keine Jojo-ferse) und perfekte Passform.

Wer Verzopfungen liebt, dem lege ich diese Anleitung wärmstens ans Herz. 

Die ultimative Befriedigung für Zopf-süchtige *g*

Und dann ist mir beim Stricken der Ferse etwas passiert, dass ein Novum war. 

Ich bin geplättet von dem Schmerz und der Leere, die eine zerbrochene Cubics-Nadel hinterlässt.

Naja, ich war ja schon etwas selbst schuld. 

Gleichzeitig telefonieren, bei Facebook browsen, mit dem Kind zetern 

und eine Ferse stricken geht einfach nicht gut ;-)

Note to self: Multitasking geht nimmer so gut!

I used Regia solid 4-ply sockyarn and 2,5mm DPN's...

My daughter and I got so inspired,
 that we had a tremendous photoshoot "mittenwise"...

Testknitting - Fountain of Youth Socks

I have testknitted for Celia's basket :-)

Fountain of Youth Socks

These are toe-up socks with a very nice lace-pattern. The pattern will include 3-4 different options for knitting the leg and cuff. (full lace, ribbed back, picot edging, ribbed edging) What really amazed me was the new approach (well for me it was new) at doing a reinforced gusset-heel. What shall I say? I love love love it!!!

Can you tell, these socks are knitted from the toe-up?? No?? Good!!

Best news for my "non-english-speaking" German friends will be this: 

I offered Celia to translate the pattern into German as soon as it is ready to be released 

and she said: "Yes, that would be great" 

Can you tell I am happy about this? yes? ...lol...good!!

Celia will be releasing the pattern soon, so keep your eyes peeled :-D

Dies ist ein Teststrick für Celia's basket. Fountain of Youth Socks (Quelle der Jugend Socken)
Es ist eine Toe-up-Socke mit schönem Lace-Design. 
Vor allem die Fersen-Architektur hat mich fasziniert und mir Freude bereitet. Man kann garnicht erkennen, daß die Socke vom Zehen an nach oben gestrickt wurde. Die Ferse sieht exakt wie eine verstärkte Herzchenferse aus. 
TOLL! :-)


Das Beste: Nicht-Gut-English-Leserinnen dürfen sich freuen. 
Ich habe Celia gefragt, ob sie denn Interesse an einer Übersetzung der Anleitung in die deutsche Sprache hätte und sie hat "JA" gesagt. Also: Haltet die Augen offen, bald wird das Muster veröffentlicht :-)

Testknitting - Owl keyring

 What a lovely testknit.... :-D
this little Owl keyring will delight everybodies heart and makes them smile.
My result looks a little "toffee-nosed" (as my Mum said ... I said she is sleeping .. lol) and therefore I announce the owl being a girl and a royalty.

Had no scrap-felt handy so I tried to embroider the beak 

(well I tried, as my embroidery-skills are close to non-existent..lol) … 

nice pattern, nice knit, super instructions….thanks a lot for the opportunity to testknit, dear Emma :-)

I used Zitron sockyarn for the body and some handpainted brown for the wings. needlesize 2 mm 

Lady Carla is 5 cm tall :-)
