Socks of the month.../Monatssocken...

Since i've had so much to do and so little time to blog about the socks i have knit this month (or finished), now all the socks in a row.
Da ich diesen Monat so viel zu tun hatte und sehr wenig Zeit zu bloggen hatte, zeig ich Euch jetzt mal die gesammelten Werke.
First of all I finally finished my Honeybee-socks,
the mai-knitalong from the "Socken-Kreativ-Liste".
I really don't know, why i dreaded finishing them.
In the end they were a fabulous item and since i used
Lana Grossa Cotton they turned out to be very soft
and are nice to wear.

Als erstes habe ich endlich die "Honeybee"-Socken, der Mai-knitalong von der "Socken-Kreativ-Liste" fertiggestellt.
Ich weiß wirklich nicht, warum ich die Vollendung dieser Socken so gefürchtet habe.
Am Ende waren sie doch toll und da ich Lana Grossa Cotton verstrickt habe, wurden sie sehr weich und sind super beim Tragen.

Then I knit a pair of socks, using handpainted wool from Tanja aka tamagoo. This wool is supergreat, I really love the colours.

I got the pattern from the Wollke7-page, it's the Pink-Sock.
I initially knit these socks for my daughter Donna,
then I wanted to keep them as she did not like the colours.....
...but then again, they caught my Mum's eyes and after getting to me for about 2 weeks....i gave in...and...
...she adopted them and they are now warming her feet.

Dann haben wir hier ein Pärchen mit handgefärbter Wolle von Tanja aka tamagoo. Diese Wolle ist supertoll, ich liebe diese Farben! Super Handfärbe-Arbeit, Tanja!
Das Muster ist das Pink-Muster von der Wollke7 .
Eigentlich habe ich diese Socken für meine Tochter Donna gestrickt, aber ihr sagten die Farben nicht wirklich zu, also wollte ich sie selbst behalten.......
...aber wie immer, diese Socken sprangen meiner Mam ins Auge und nachdem sie mich bestimmt zwei Wochen lang anbettelte...
..hab ich mich erweichen lassen...und...sie hat sie adoptiert und nun wärmen sie Ihre Füße.

And then 2 pairs of socks, which i forgot to take a photo of: "Farewell"-socks for the teachers of my daughters. One with the Aunt-Pittypat-pattern from Christine,knit with beige-coloured Opalwool.
And one pair made of ONline-wool in denim-blue, i knit the Berlin-pattern from Kristin once again...i just love this pattern.
The teachers were really surprised and happy about the socks.

The funny "socks??!"-comments, which the other parents made, were silenced really quick,
as they heard, that these were socks with real pattern and as they had a look at them,
they were soon convinced, that these gift-socks are something special...*giggle*

Dann waren da noch 2 Paare, die ich leider nicht fotografiert habe: Abschiedssocken für die Lehrerinnen meiner beiden Großen. Einmal im Pittipat-Muster von Christine aus beigefarbener Opal.
Und einmal aus ONline-Wolle in Denim-blau mit dem Berlin-Muster (ja, schon wieder! Ich liebe dieses Muster von Kristin).
Die Lehrerinnen haben sich sehr gefreut und waren superbegeistert.

Die komischen "Socken?!"-Kommentare der anderen Eltern sind ganz schnell verstummt,
als sie hörten, daß die Socken mit Muster sind und als sie sie begutachteten,
waren auch sie von der Besonderheit dieser Geschenke überzeugt....*grins*
